Chiropractic is a complementary medicine that has been growing increasingly in different countries over recent decades. It addresses the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neuromusculoskeletal system disorders and their effects on the whole body. According to research, the effectiveness of chiropractic has shown positive results in:

Asthma

A chiropractor has a positive effect on improving the treatment of asthma attacks, medication use, quality of life. Patients have reported that they have observed changes in their asthma symptoms such as peak expiratory flow, vital capacity, and forced expiratory volume. 

Sports Injuries 

Reports have proven that chiropractic is more effective than conventional treatments when it comes to the treatment of sports injuries. Prevention of lower limb muscle strain, hallux adbducto valgus (bunion) and lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) have been a few complications that could be prevented and treated with chiropractic.

In a systematic review of chiropractic treatment of lower and upper back pain, chiropractic was compared with medical treatment, physical methods, training programs, sham chiropractic, and no treatment. According to the results, chiropractic was superior to fake chiropractic and physical therapy, but not as effective as drug therapy and other therapies.
