Work smart, not hard! There is no denying that at one point in time we had spent hours and hours cramming up with books a few nights before our exam or assignments and have almost exploded our heads! We either go to sleep late at night or wake up early in the morning to maximise last-minute revisions. This could lead to poor performance due to the decrease in concentration. This article tells you four ways to work smart and not hard! 1. Do not pile up work We all have promised ourselves that we would keep up to date but yet ended up with a pile of papers by the end of the week. Try completing your work on time every day, even though it would take a few more minutes of your time. You would rather want to spend half an hour a bit more than spending the entire weekend completing your backlogs.

1. Do not pile up work
We all have promised ourselves that we would keep up to date but yet ended up with a pile of papers by the end of the week. Try completing your work on time every day, even though it would take a few more minutes of your time. You would rather want to spend half an hour a bit more than spending the entire weekend completing your backlogs.
2. Use a “to-don't list”
To-do lists are great to use and help us to be more organised. But have you ever heard of the to-don't list? This is an excellent way to eliminate the work that is not important or that can be easily scheduled for later. It helps you recognise what you need to not focus on at the moment making you work more efficiently.
3. Use your phone wisely
A strict no to using your phones for a couple of hours will make you do wonders! A slight distraction would take us away for half an hour and you never know how much work you could’ve gotten done by then. So, say goodbye to your phones while working!
4. Chunk similar tasks together
You might want to do the work that is similar together, this will eliminate you from switching from different tabs and tasks and would not let you get confused. Research has also shown that doing tasks that are quite difficult in the beginning is more helpful since you would give all of your concentration and energy, and then working down to the easier ones.
