Overview

The 2-day course will be a mix between evidence and based lecturing and hands-on training.


The lecture will give an in-depth overview of the steps in chronological, order starting from planning all the way to delivery and post-op. The occlusion, advanced colour theory, and choice of materials will be discussed. During the hands-on part, the participants will experience how to design different tooth preparations and provisionalisation which will end with cementation.


This course is designed to elevate the skills of clinicians who already have done veneer cases in addition to building a strong base for dentists who intend on starting with veneer cases.


Learning Objectives

  • Plan veneer treatment cases.
  • Simplified digital smile design.
  • Execute precise preparation, impression and provisionalisation techniques in different scenarios.
  • Execute proper bonding.
  • Design and adjust to achieve proper occlusion.


Course Structure

The course consists of approximately half a day of lectures and one and a half-day of hands-on training. Delegates will prepare 8+ teeth in total during the 2 days.

    • Overview of Esthetics Building medico-legal/Immunity/Case Discussion
  • 11:15 – 12:00 - Lecture:
  • Occlusion + Vertical Dimension
  • 13:00 – 14:00 - Lecture: Preparation techniques
  • 14:00 – 15:00 - Lecture: Impression techniques, Ceramic material decision making, Shade/Color overview
  • 15:15 - 16:30 - Hands-On: Veneer Preparations Type I
  • 16:30 - 18:00 - Hands-On: Veneer Preparations Type II

  • 09:00 – 10:30 - Hands-On: Veneer Prep Type III
  • 10:30 - 12:00 - Hands-On: Vonlay preparation and ¾ crown
  • 12:00 - 13:00 - Hands-On Impressions of Veneer Prep
  • 14:00 –16:00 - Lecture: Bonding and cementation A to Z
  • 16:15 - 17:15 - Hands-On: Veneer Cementation
  • 17:15 - 17:45 - Demo of Digital Smile Design
  • 17:45 - 18:00 - Discussion and Q&A

A refund of the registration fee will be made as follows: Notification in writing must be received 60 days prior to the event: 50% – excluding VAT, bank charges and other charges relates to the payment. Notification in writing must be received 30 days prior to the event: 25% – excluding VAT, bank charges and other charges relates to the payment. Notification received within less than 30 days prior to the event will result in no refund.


PG EDUCATION PROGRAMMES

A refund of the registration fee will be made as follows: 50% refund will be provided (excluding VAT, bank charges and other charges relates to the payment) if CAPP EVENTS & TRAINING receives a notification in writing 3 months prior to the start of the first module. No refund will be given after this date. All notifications must be received in writing.

Dr. Faysal G. Succaria

Dr. Succaria is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. After receiving his dental degree in Beirut, Lebanon, he completed post-doctoral programs at Boston University, USA, and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry degree and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Prosthodontics.

He served as full-time faculty and Department Chair and Director of the Postdoctoral Program in Prosthodontics at Boston University Institute for Dental Research & Education, Dubai, UAE, from March 2010 until June 2012.

Dr. Succaria maintains a private practice in UAE and Lebanon. In addition to his clinical practice, he is still active in academia. He co-authored chapters and articles on restoring pulpless teeth and ceramic materials. He lectures and conducts workshops locally and internationally on color, contemporary ceramic materials, dentin bonding, restoration of endodontically treated teeth, and CAD/CAM dentistry.
