Course Objectives and/or Learning Outcomes:

• To maximise the use of a diagnostic ultrasound unit to enable imaging of pelvic floor function
• Understand how to apply ultrasound in Women’s Health in a clinical setting
• Demonstrate safety, modesty and infection control procedures
• Be able to use ultrasound in a clinical setting to assist with pelvic floor assessment, treatment and training, inclusive of prolapse imaging to assist patient education

Pre Course Work:

Caroline is a physiotherapist with 35 years clinical experience. She has worked in variety of settings, initially working as an MSK physiotherapist. Caroline has always had a passion for women’s health. In the last 15 years Caroline has dedicated 70% of her clinical time to women’s health while still staying in touch with MSK advances which inform her women health work.

Caroline integrated the use of diagnostic ultrasound seamlessly in her day to day clinical work and finds it a valuable tool in patient education, and understanding the nuances of women’s health issues.

Caroline is a passionate and natural educator, who wants to share her knowledge to expand the role of physiotherapy in this fascinating field.
