What does Madonna, Ryan Gosling and Victoria Secret models have in common?
Yes, they might be genetically blessed, but to keep those gorgeous bodies in shape, they all swear by Barre.
We wouldn’t be surprised if you have heard the buzz about Barre around town, but for those who don’t yet know what all the hype is about, here is our quick summary.
Barre is a marriage of ballet technique, yoga, Pilates and strength training designed to tone, lengthen and strengthen for a full body work out. Sounds good, doesn’t it? Choreographed to upbeat, catchy music, Barre classes are fun for all fitness levels and you don’t need to be a superstar yogi or a professional ballerina to benefit from what I like to call the Barre-burn – so evil but oh so good.
Singapore was first introduced to Barre in 2016 by the forward thinkingWeBarre cofounders Anabel Chew and Linda Ang. Since then WeBarre’s popularity has showed no signs of slowing down and has seen four gorgeously designed studios open in Tanjong Pagar, Telok Ayer, Clarke Quay and most recently, and we are very excited about this, the new Orchard studio!
Oh, and before I forget, for those frequent travellers amongst you, there is now no excuse with WeBarre opened its doors in Hong Kong in 2018.
Growing from strength to strength, just like your bootie will once you get into WeBarre, is testament to the enjoyment and results that clients are getting from this full body workout. I don’t know how else to say this but get in there and give it a go. Having gone through vigorous training, WeBarre instructors will be able to guide you through your first class and somehow despite all the hard work, you will walk away with a smile and probably a few new WeBarre friends.
Introduction packages start from $49 SGD for a seven-day trial or just drop in for a single class. Packages are available too.
