In Singapore’s
densely populated urban jungle, everyone needs to grab a good drink once in a
while, take in the sights and just enjoy a gentle cool breeze. There’s no
better place to do all of that than being at a rooftop bar.
Why confine
yourself to the ground, when you can chill out at some of the coolest spots in
the air? We’ve rounded up a list of some of the best bars up in the sky here
in Singapore for you to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.
1-Altitude
No rooftop bar
list is truly complete without mentioning this establishment. 1-Altitude offers
the perfect view of the Singapore night sky. Situated on the roof of 1 Raffles
Place, it is the place to be to light up your night with good company and
delicious cocktails under the stars. Be sure to take some awesome selfies as
1-Altitude offers breath taking panoramic 360° views of the cityscape.
Lantern
For a fantastic view of the Marina Bay area when the sun goes down, check out Lantern. Located on top of The Fullerton Bay Hotel, Lantern features a 25 meter pool, which you can lie beside and sip on a glass of your favourite drink. It doesn’t have the same 360° view as 1-Altitude, but the beach-inspired furnishing and the lively house band offers a relaxing and charming vibe that you shouldn’t miss.
Loof
This rooftop
bar offers a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Frequently haunted by local young
professionals, Loof offers tantalising bar food and a good selection of drinks.
Situated at the heart of Singapore’s city centre it’s a great place to catch up
with old friends under the night sky after a long day. Just make sure to get a
reservation before you go!
Level 33
Level
33 proudly touts itself as the “The highest craft brewery in the world”. And it
seems to live up to its hype. If you are a fan of great beer, this bar features
deliciously brewed house beers, accompanied with an impressive array of
contemporary cuisine, and a gorgeous view of Singapore’s skyline from the
Marina Bay Financial Centre.
Sum Yi Tai
If you fancy
spending your evening in an 80’s Hong Kong theme, check out Sum Yi
Tai restaurant-bar. Located along Boon Tat Street, it features thematic
furnishings and a Chinese styled menu to take you back in time to the golden
era. The rooftop bar level is exclusive – only accessible by invite or
reservation. You’ll feel like you’ve just stepped inside a Hong Kong mafia
movie.
Southbridge
What goes well with a dazzling view of Singapore? Oysters! Southbridge also offers a 360 view of the city, but the highlight is the oysters. Featuring a seasonally rotating selection of fresh oysters, completing your rooftop experience with a delightful cocktail and a view of the Marina Bay laser light show on the horizon.
SuperTree by IndoChine
Strategically
located in the heart of Gardens by The Bay, SuperTree by IndoChine is the place
to be seen. It is the only roof top bar on top of the SuperTree Grove, where
you can enjoy an unobstructed view of the Gardens on one side, and the Central
Business District on the other, all while sipping on martinis under the stars.
The menu features the same duality approach by serving up a mix of east-meets-west
fusion cuisines.
With barely any
room to grow in space-deprived Singapore, rooftop bars are fast becoming a
trend in Singapore’s nightlife scene. Whether you are looking for a good party
under the stars or catch up with old friends over a couple of cold ones, there
is something for everyone. Be sure to visit us and check out the latest rooftop
bars in Singapore!
