Ski & Snow Dental Conference Italy 2020




Event registration is on the 7th January. The first lecture will be on Wednesday the 8th January 2020 at 6pm. The event will conclude at 7pm on Monday 13th January. We will say our final farewells, have breakfast and depart on Tuesday 14th January.

How to Get there:

Fly into any of following airports: Innsbruck, Verona, Venezia, or Milano. Then drive or take a bus to the hotel.

Oncology & Dental Implications

Things to do:

In between lectures you can enjoy numerous activities including skiing and snowboarding opportunities available to all skill levels. You have the choice of the local Alta Badia Ski pass (130km of slopes and great for beginners & not-so-warm intermediates) or the Dolimiti Superski Pass (1200km of slopes for intermediates and experts).   


Prices are per person and includes: course conference fees, 7 nights accommodation, 7 x breakfasts, 7 x substantial afternoon tea buffet (from 2 to 5 pm), 7 x 4-course dinner and use of hotel facilities (including pool, gym, sauna, relaxation room).  

The hotel is 10 mins walk to 1200 km of UNESECO heritage listed region and ski slopes of the dolomites. Included is a free shuttle bus to and from the slopes. Your booking will be allocated run-of-house room (decided upon hotel whichever room is available at the time of booking).

Prices may change according to changes of exchange rates. Any changes will be updated frequently and outlined on the table below. Rate in the table below exclude GST and 2% credit card transaction fees. To avoid credit card transaction fees please fill out the form and EFT transfer.

Minimum of 7 night stay (7th January to 14th January). For additional nights please let us know.

As a condition of registration accommodation for each delegate is included for the duration of the course and must be booked through Highlands Professional Development. Should you wish to book accommodation for your family direct with the hotel you can contact Hotel Diamant directly.

Prices do not include local tourist taxes which are charged at 2.5 Euros per person (14 years and over) per day payable to the hotel. 

Lunch is not provided

Drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), personal items, extra room costs (e.g. mini bar purchases, personal laundry etc). Such items will be charged to your room and you will be asked to settle on check-out.  

Rates above do not include 10% GST.

Rates do not include 2% surcharge for payments with credit cards. To avoid 2% surcharge EFT transactions are accepted (note that fees can change according to the exchange rate from AUD to EU)

Also not included are: Cost of passports (please ensure that you have at least 6 months validity on your passport from the date of departure from Italy back home), and visas where required (visas not required for Australian and New Zealand citizens staying in Italy for under 90 days), flight tickets, travel insurance, airport taxes where applicable, airport transfers, laundry, road tolls, telephone calls, food not included on regular menu, ski or equipment hire, lift passes, any other item of a personal nature and transportation to and from Australia.

As a condition of registration, all accommodation for the conference must be booked through Highlands Professional Development. Should you wish to book accommodation for family members who are not attending the conference and staying a different room you can book direct with  the hotel (keep in mind exchange rates and exchange fees when you do so).

The conference is open to Dental Professionalsincluding dentists, dental hygienist, dental assistants, dental technicians, practice managers, accounts and admin staff and their delegates. Not all of the content on all of the lectures will be relevant to all delegates. The conference is confirmed and will definitely proceed. Minimum stay is 7 nights. Rates may change according to exchange rate. Rates indicated do not include GST.

Can I get a refund if I can’t attend?

Refunds are not possible. Ticket or course swaps are also not possible. Before booking please ensure you are able to attend and purchase travel insurance for any unforeseen cancellations.

What should I wear?

Warm clothing for outdoors. Dress lightly in the hotel as it is quite warm inside. We put together a document on recommended clothing.

I don’t do downhill skiing or snowboarding, what else can I do in between lectures?

You can keep up this dentistry by viewing videos in our designated area. Or enjoy the sights and join in tours. 

Does the hotel have free WIFI internet?

Yes, you’ll be provided with the username and password on check in. Note that you will be in a small town in the Italian Alps…so the wifi will be slower than what you’ll get in the city.
