Which periodontal and implant maintenance techniques are the best? How do we know which is the best protocol for the prevention and treatment of peri-implantitis? The SWISS DENTAL ACADEMY is one of the key pacesetters in dental prophylaxis and periodontal disease management training. Based on the latest scientific knowledge, the theory and practical courses are taught in terms of practice-oriented requirements.


Aimed at the whole dental team to discuss the most modern, comfortable and cost effective techniques available for periodontal and implant maintenance. The course will reveal answers to the challenges of providing safe and effective maintenance. Participants will discover Guided Biofilm Therapy [GBT] and learn why it integrates with the modern concept of preventive and minimally invasive dentistry.

  • How to best care for implants to maximise longevity and minimise risks for peri-implantitis 
  • Detecting and diagnosing mucositis and peri Implantitis
  • Recommended implant maintenance protocol 
  • Non-surgical treatment of mucositis and peri Implantitis with GBT/AIRFLOW 


Includes Hands-On Session With Perio Models

The aim of the hands-on session is to provide a practical overview of modern biofilm management and provides the opportunity for participants to practice Guided Biofilm Therapy on periodontitis models. Includes a focus on PIEZON ultrasonic techniques including ideal subgingival scaling technique with ergonomic seating/operator posture and patient positioning for pain free dentistry.

Cancellation

All cancellations must be received in writing via email to [email protected] Delegates will receive 75% of their registration back if they cancel 2-4 weeks prior to the course. If the delegate cancels 1-2 weeks prior to the course, they receive 50% of their registration fee.

Please note: That you will not be refunded the registration fee if you cancel 1 week prior to the course or if you fail to attend.

Sue Fehervari

Sue Fehervari has been an active and respected member of the dental community for over 30 years. Sue has worked in general and specialist dental practice, in both the public and private sectors, with special interests in periodontics and orthodontics. Early in her career, she educated dental hygienists as a lecturer and tutor in the Dental Hygiene School at TAFE, and later tutored dentists and BOH students at the University of Adelaide. Sue is extremely proud of the work she does and takes great joy in seeing the development of profession, her students and her patients.
