Lecture and training on aesthetic composite resin rehabilitation

Aesthetic Composite Resin Rehabilitation: A Contemporary Approach

Over the past decade, the development of techniques and materials in dentistry has taken on a renaissance, and adhesive dentistry has predominated. Therefore, the increasing reliability of modern composite resins has made them an alternative treatment option for aesthetic rehabilitation, and a minimally invasive option to restore the functions and aesthetics of the patients. However, the ‘great’ debate still continues, contradicting the evidence for their use especially in anterior or full mouth rehabilitation. Therefore, it is time to review our treatment philosophy and learn how to adapt the direct and indirect composite resin restorative techniques in modern aesthetic dentistry. This lecture will address clinical research, current concept, techniques and clinical cases in single, anterior to full arch rehabilitation.

Secrets of the Direct Composite Veneers

This workshop is designed to give a comprehensive and modern insight into direct composite veneers. The participants will learn how to artistically create a composite veneer that mimics natural tooth morphology. Besides, they will learn the latest advancement of dental materials and technology to simplify these procedures and maximize the clinical outcomes.

Learning objectives

  • Discuss the case selection and treatment planning in simple to advanced aesthetic cases using composite resin.
  • Discuss the understanding of shade selection, functional and smile analysis.
  • Discuss the solutions for clinical challenges of anterior composite resin restorations.
  • Rationalise the indications, contraindications, advantages, disadvantages and principles of tooth preparation for anterior composite resin restorations.
  • Understand the steps of various direct and indirect restorative cases (simple to complex)
  • Perform the step-by-step approach for direct composite veneers.
