Referrals are the life-blood of any physiotherapy practice. There is no greater compliment to a DC than a referral. The three ways to generate physiotherapy referrals could be:
1. Organically
Happy patients will recommend more patients. If your people are happy, I mean really happy, they will send others to come to you because they see the benefits of physiotherapy. This means that they are satisfied with your care, your process, your results and your team. Even if only one of them is out of date, you will hesitate to share it with family members. This is what makes getting the right team and processes down so vital to your practice’s success.
2. Effective office processes:
To make referrals effectively, we must be very cautious when generating patient referrals in practice. Your patients should stumble upon the opportunity to regularly recommend their friends and family to your Physio’s office. Ideally, you and your team will have a keen and clear understanding of referrals through the process of attracting, converting and retaining new patients.
3. Knowing the best moment to ask
In your relationship with each patient, the opportunities for requesting referrals are almost endless, but today we will introduce some more effective techniques. Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself and your team to try each one- and even create more of your own!
